Clamshell Rings: A Musing…
Spring is in the air.
This point in the natural cycle is strikingly evident and on display for us to enjoy. A comforting reminder of the ever present, insurmountable spacetime continuum.
The trees know when to come alive and when to rest. They mark perfect time in alignment with our planet, our sun, and our universe through annual rings within them.
Like the trees, the clamshells have rings that mark the passage of time. They just are. They just know.
This got me thinking about “the knowing”.
As humans, do we have an intrinsic knowing how to be, the way the trees and the shells do? Of course… How could we not? We are not exceptional.
Am I connected to the knowing?
How do I connect with the knowing, the truth, the acceptance, the dharmakāya, the faith?
Is my knowing the same as yours? It must be… all the trees bloom at the same time.
How connected are we to ourselves and to each other?
When, how, why do we become disconnected?
How do I forgive?
How do we forgive for they don’t know?
Why do I search for purpose, the knowing, in the doing?
Am I distracting myself from the knowing, the truth?
